Lee Seung-bok
Lee Seung-bok (; 9 December 1959 – 9 December 1968) was a 9-year-old South Korean boy who was murdered by North Korean commandos. His murder was widely publicized in South Korea. In the early 1990s, false rumours began to circulate that Lee had never existed and that his death was the creation of South Korean propaganda. Early life Lee Seung-bok was the second of four children of Lee Seok-woo and Joo Dae-ha. He was raised on their farm in a remote location on the north of Gyebangsan. Death On the night of 30 October 1968, 120 members of Unit 124 of the Korean People's Army landed at 8 separate locations between Ulchin and Samcheok in Gangwon Province and moved inland on a 30-day mission to create guerilla bases in the Taebaek Mountains. Chun Doo-hwan (; 18 January 1931 – 23 November 2021) was a South Korean politician, army general and military dictator who served as the fifth president of South Korea from 1980 to 1988. Prior to his accession to the presidency, he was the country's ''de facto'' leader from 1979 to 1980. Chun usurped power after the 1979 Assassination of Park Chung Hee, assassination of president Park Chung Hee, who was himself a military dictator who had ruled since 1961. The M4 Sherman, officially medium tank, M4, was the medium tank most widely used by the United States and Western Allies in World War II. The M4 Sherman proved to be reliable, relatively cheap to produce, and available in great numbers. The Cessna O-1 Bird Dog is a liaison and observation aircraft that first flew on December 14, 1949, and entered service in 1950 as the L-19 in the Korean War. It went to serve in many branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, was not retired until the 1970s in a number of variants, and also served in the Vietnam War. It was also called the OE-1 and OE-2 in Navy service, flying with the Marine Corps, and in the 1960s it was re-designated the O-1. It remains a civilian-flown warbird aircraft, and there are examples in aviation museums. It was the first all-metal fixed-wing aircraft ordered for and by the United States Army following the Army Air Forces' separation from it in 1947.
