Lee Richardson (actor)
Lee Richardson (September 11, 1926 – October 2, 1999) was an American stage and screen actor. He acted in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions and was a prolific player in regional theatres, co-founding Minneapolis' Guthrie Theater in 1963. On-screen, he often worked with director Sidney Lumet, appearing in several of his films between 1976 and 1992. He was nominated for a Tony Award in 1972, for his role in Robert Bolt's '' Vivat! Vivat Regina!''. Life and career Richardson was born in Chicago, Illinois. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Forces and was stationed in England, where he was introduced to the works of William Shakespeare and Noël Coward. After an honorable discharge, Richardson enrolled in Loyola University Chicago as a prelaw major. After one semester, he decided to pursue the dramatic arts instead, and left Loyola to study at the Goodman Theatre's acting school. Lee Richardson (politician)
Lee Richardson (born October 31, 1947) is a Canadian businessman and politician. He served as the member of Parliament for the riding of Calgary Southeast from 1988 to 1993 as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and for Calgary Centre from 2004 to 2012. He resigned from the House of Commons in 2012 to accept an appointment as principal secretary to the Premier of Alberta. Education Richardson was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He was educated at the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta. He also attended Oxford University in England. Personal life Richardson married Susanne Reece in 1971 and they had three children. Susanne died from cancer in 1998. Lee Stewart Richardson (25 April 1979 – 13 May 2012) was a British international motorcycle speedway rider. Career Richardson made his British debut for the Reading Racers in 1995. Richardson represented Great Britain speedway team, Great Britain at senior and under-21 level and featured in several Speedway World Cup, World Cup tournaments. Richardson was World Under 21 champion in 1999. In October 2002, during the Speedway Grand Prix Qualification he won the 2002 Speedway Grand Prix Qualification, GP Challenge, which ensured that he claimed a permanent slot for the 2003 Speedway Grand Prix, 2003 Grand Prix. He won the Elite League Riders' Championship, held at Brandon Stadium on 18 October 2003. He was also a fully fledged Speedway Grand Prix, Grand Prix rider for four seasons from 2003 until 2006. Lee James Richardson (born 12 March 1969 in Halifax, Yorkshire) is a former professional footballer and until 6 May 2009 he was manager of Chesterfield. He is the younger brother of Nick Richardson, who briefly played alongside him for Halifax Town. Playing career Richardson, an energetic midfield player, began his career at his local club Halifax Town, before enjoying spells at a number of clubs throughout Britain. He had particularly successful seasons at Aberdeen and Oldham Athletic in the mid nineties, and ended his playing career at Chesterfield. Whilst at Aberdeen he was part of a team which finished second to Rangers in all three domestic competitions in 1992–93. Leigh Richardson
Leigh Richardson (26 April 1924 – 27 October 2008) was a Honduran-born Belizean politician. Richardson served as the leader of the People's United Party in the 1950s, and also as mayor of Belize City. Early life Richardson was born to Belizean parents in Puerto Castilla, Honduras. He moved with his parents to Belize, then known as British Honduras, at the age of five. A leader in Belize's independence movement, he was imprisoned in 1951 along with Philip Goldson for charges of sedition brought against them by the British colonial authorities. He was co-founder of the ''Belize Billboard'' and held leadership positions in the People's Committee.
