Lee Kok-long
Joseph Lee Kok-long (born 14 August 1959) is a Hong Kong politician who was a former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Legco), representing the Health Services functional constituency. He is a member of the Pro-democracy camp. Lee is a nurse and a Professor and Dean in the School of Nursing and Health Studies at the Open University of Hong Kong. Education Lee received his Bachelor of Nursing degree from the La Trobe University, Australia in 1992. His master's degree was in nursing/education from the University of Edinburgh. In 2002 he completed his PhD thesis, ''Ascertaining Patient Condition: a grounded theory study of diagnostic practice in nursing'' from Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Hospital Authority
The Hospital Authority is a statutory body managing all the government hospitals and institutes in Hong Kong. It is under the governance of its board and is under the monitor of the Secretary for Health of the Hong Kong Government. Its chairman is Henry Fan. History Before the establishment of the Hospital Authority, all health and medical issues were under the management of the Medical and Health Department. In 1990, a new health administration system was introduced as part of the 1989 reforms. Independent Police Complaints Council
The Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) is a civilian body of the Government of Hong Kong, part of the two-tier system in which the Hong Kong Police Force investigates complaints made by the public against its members and the IPCC monitors those investigations. The IPCC acts as an independent body to monitor the review by the Complaints Against Police Office (CAPO) of complaints against members of the Police Force. Winnie Yu (nurse)
Winnie Yu Wai-ming (; born 28 May 1987) is a Hong Kong nurse and activist. She is the founder and chairwoman of the Hospital Authority Employees Alliance (HAEA), a labour union representing Hospital Authority staff. She played an instrumental role in the labour strike in February 2020 to demand full border closure in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Hong Kong, COVID-19 outbreak in Hong Kong.
