Lee Baxter (footballer)
Lee Stuart Baxter (born 17 June 1976) is a Swedish football goalkeeper and coach who has played for clubs in Sweden and England and trained goalkeepers in several international clubs. He moved from Malmö FF to Sheffield United in 2003, to cover a goalkeeping crisis. His only appearance was ''The Blades'' Football League match against Burnley on 6 December 2003. He was deemed to be at fault for two of the goals and was subbed at half time for Alan Fettis. Baxter only played for Sheffield United in England, before moving back to Sweden with IFK Göteborg. He is the son of football manager Stuart Baxter, and grandson of footballer Bill Baxter. Following his playing career, he took on the role of goalkeeper coach at AIK. In 2015, he moved to Turkish Super Lig team, Gençlerbirliği S.K. His time at the club was cut short, following the dismissal of the head coach. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), also known as Trendyol Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Turkey and the highest level of the Turkish football league system. In the 2023–2024 season, twenty clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promotion and relegation, promoted from, and another four relegated to the TFF First League, 1. Lig. Bill Baxter (Scottish Footballer)
William Baxter (21 September 1924 – 9 November 2002) was a Scottish footballer who played as a wing half for Midlands clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa. Biography Baxter joined Wolves as a member of the groundstaff upon leaving school in 1939. After guesting for Leicester City, Mansfield Town and Notts County during wartime, he signed professional forms at Molineux in September 1945. He made his debut on 4 December 1948 in a 1–0 win over Everton. Although never a regular starter for Wolves, he made five appearances in 1953–54, the season of the club's first championship. Lacking playing time for Wolves, he moved to Midlands neighbours Aston Villa in November 1953. Baxter made over 100 appearances for Villa before retiring in summer 1957. He stayed with the club to serve them as coach and assistant manager until 1967. He then moved back to his native Scotland, where he had short spells in charge of both East Fife and Raith Rovers. Stuart William Baxter (born 16 August 1953) is an English-Scottish football coach and former player who currently manages Boavista in the Primeira Liga. Alan William Fettis (born 1 February 1971) is a Northern Ireland former professional footballer and goalkeeping coach at Championship side Middlesbrough As a player, he was as a goalkeeper from 1988 to 2007.
