The New Hampshire Democratic Party (NHDP) is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. Its chair is Raymond Buckley, and its vice chairs are Maura Sullivan and Donovan Fenton. The most recent Democratic governor was Maggie Hassan, who served from 2013 to 2017. The only U.S. president from New Hampshire was a Democrat, Franklin Pierce, who served from 1853 to 1857. Lesley University is a private university in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. It was founded in 1909 to educate teachers.
