Le Vibrazioni
Le Vibrazioni ( English: "The Vibrations") is an Italian rock and pop band formed in Milan in 1999. They made their breakthrough in 2003 with their debut single '' Dedicato a te'' ("Dedicated to you"), which went platinum in Italy. Biography The four founding members, all born in Milan or its metropolitan area, are Francesco Sarcina (guitar and vocals), Stefano Verderi (guitar and keyboards), Marco Castellani (bass), and Alessandro Deidda (drums). After many years spent playing in clubs around Milan, the group signed with BMG and debuted with the single ''Dedicato a te'', which topped the Italian charts and became one of 2003 best-selling singles. Later in the same year they published their first album, 'Le Vibrazioni', whose sales exceeded 300,000 copies and from which the singles ''In una notte d'estate'', ''Vieni da me'', ''Sono più sereno'' and ''...E se ne va'' were extracted. Sitar
The sitar ( or ; ) is a plucked stringed instrument, originating from the Indian subcontinent, used in Hindustani classical music. The instrument was invented in the 18th century, and arrived at its present form in 19th-century India. Khusrau Khan, an 18th-century figure of the Mughal Empire has been identified by modern scholarship as the inventor of the sitar. According to most historians, he developed the sitar from the setar, an Iranian instrument of Abbasid or Safavid origin. Used widely throughout the Indian subcontinent, the sitar became popularly known in the wider world through the works of Ravi Shankar, beginning in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Modà
Modà is an Italian rock band from Milan. Formed in 2002, the band currently consists of lead singer Kekko Silvestre, guitarists Diego Arrigoni and Enrico Zapparoli, bass guitarist Stefano Forcella and drummer Claudio Dirani. History 2000–2003: early years In the early 2000s, Kekko Silvestre met musicians Tino Alberti and Enrico Palmosi. Later joined by Silvestre's childhood friend Paolo Bovi, they formed a band, Pop Doc, which performed in local clubs in Northern Italy. Silvestre later decided to rename the band after a discothèque in Erba, Lombardy. In 2001, Modà recorded their first demos, but during the summer of the same year, Palmosi left the group, later becoming the arranger of most of Modà's songs. The following year, Silvestre met Diego Arrigoni, who became the band's guitarist. The Sanremo Music Festival 2005 (), officially the 55th Italian Song Festival (), was the 55th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo between 1 and 5 March 2005 and broadcast by (RAI).
