The Le Maschere del Teatro Italiano (''The Masks of Italian Theatre''), more commonly known informally as the Le Maschere Award in Italian Le Maschere, recognizes achievement in live Italian theatre is the national theatre award of Italy. The awards are presented and decided by the ''Ente Teatrale Italiano'' (ETI) and supported by the Italian Ministry of Culture at an annual ceremony in Naples. The awards are given for Italian productions and performances. Paolo Graziosi (25 January 1940 – 1 February 2022) was an Italian stage and film actor. Biography Born in Rimini, Graziosi was rejected for the admission exams at the Academy of Dramatic Arts Silvio D'Amico in 1961. He then enrolled at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. In theater, after a period of apprenticeship, he had his first break in 1965 with the role of Mercutio in a famous version of ''Romeo and Juliet'' directed by Franco Zeffirelli. Pippo Delbono (born 1 June 1959 in Varazze, Italy) is an Italian author, actor, and director. Biography Pippo Delbono began training in traditional theatre in Denmark, studying the principles of oriental theatre, through a rigorous work on body and voice. Later, in Germany, Delbono was invited by Pina Bausch to follow her work.
