Steve Lazarides ( el, Στηβ Λαζαρίδης; born c. 1969) is a British-Greek Cypriot publisher, photographer, collector and curator. He has helped popularise street art and underground art. Early life Steve Lazarides grew up in Bristol, England and studied photography at Newcastle Polytechnic. He discovered street subculture and graffiti art as a teenager at Bristol's Barton Hill neighbourhood youth club, organised by John Nation and referenced in 2020 documentary ''Banksy and the Rise of Outlaw Art''. Art career In the 1980s, he started out with a Nikon F-mount camera documenting his surrounding environments as a photography student. He subsequently worked as a photographer for '' Sleazenation,'' where he was employed as photography director from 1996 till 2001, and ''The Face''. Apo Lazaridès
Apo Lazaridès (16 October 1925 – 30 October 1998) was a French champion cyclist. Born Jean-Apôtre Lazaridès in Marles-les-Mines, Pas-de-Calais of Greek ancestry (he became French in 1929). During the German occupation of France, Lazaridès used his cycling to transport supplies to the French Resistance. Apo had an older brother, Lucien Lazaridès, also a cyclist. Nicknamed "Apo", a short version of his middle name, he competed in races throughout France during the war. In 1946 Lazaridès finished fifth in the "''Ronde de France''", then won the most important competition of the year, the "'' La Course du Tour de France''", a 1316 km race from Monaco to Paris. This was organised by the group who took charge of organisation of the Tour de France. In the 1947 Tour, Lazaridès finished tenth but captured second overall in the mountain class. Lucien Lazaridès
Lucien Lazaridès (Athens, Greece, 30 December 1922 — Cannes, 19 July 2005) was a French professional road bicycle racer. Lazaridès was born with Greek nationality but became French in 1929. Lucien Lazaridès was an older brother of cyclist Apo Lazaridès. Lazaridès won the Dauphiné Libéré in 1949 and reached the podium of the Tour de France in 1951. Later in his career he won two Tour de France stages.
