Lawrie Wyman
Lawrence Caulfield Wyman (20 December 192325 March 1982) was a British comedy scriptwriter. Born in Brentford, Middlesex, he served in the army during the Second World War. He later became a scriptwriter at the BBC, working with comedians such as Michael Howard (comedian), Michael Howard and Derek Roy (comedian), Derek Roy. Brentford is a suburban town in West (London sub region), West London, England and part of the London Borough of Hounslow. Stephen Umfreville Hay Murray (6 September 1912 – 31 March 1983) was an English cinema, radio, theatre and television actor. Lambeth
Lambeth () is a district in South London, England, which today also gives its name to the (much larger) London Borough of Lambeth. Lambeth itself was an ancient parish in the county of Surrey. It is situated 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Charing Cross, across the river from Westminster Palace. The population of the London Borough of Lambeth was 303,086 in 2011. The area experienced some slight growth in the medieval period as part of the manor of Lambeth Palace. By the Victorian era, the area had seen significant development as London expanded, with dense industrial, commercial and residential buildings located adjacent to one another. By this point, there were distinct localities (like Vauxhall) appearing on the map, and a separate parish of South Lambeth was created in 1861. ''Carry On Dick'' is a 1974 British comedy film, the 26th release in the series of 31 ''Carry On'' films (1958–1992). The story is based on the Dick Turpin legend and features Turpin (James) as an antihero, attempting to evade capture by the authorities. ''Carry On Dick'' was released in July 1974 and marked the end of an era for the series. ''The Navy Lark'' is a 1959 British comedy film directed by Gordon Parry and starring Cecil Parker, Ronald Shiner and Leslie Phillips, Gordon Jackson and Hattie Jacques. It was based on ''The Navy Lark'' radio series broadcast on the BBC Light Programme. It was one of the last films from Herbert Wilcox. Plot Captain Povey has built a reputation for shutting down redundant naval bases, and now has his eye on the minesweeping detachment on Boonsey (a fictional Channel Island, off Portsmouth). Sid Colin
Sid Colin (born Sidney Coblentz; 31 August 1915 – 12 December 1989) was an English scriptwriter, working for radio, television and the cinema. He is best remembered for creating the television comedy ''The Army Game'' (1957–1959) and writing for ''Up Pompeii!'' (1969–1970), as well as films including ''Carry On Spying'' and ''Percy's Progress''. He occasionally collaborated with regular '' Carry On'' series writer Talbot Rothwell. Ronald William George Barker (25 September 1929 – 3 October 2005) was an English actor, comedian and writer. He was known for roles in British comedy television series such as ''Porridge (1974 TV series), Porridge'', ''The Two Ronnies'', and ''Open All Hours''.
