Lawrence West is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the median of William R. Allen Road at Lawrence Avenue, Lawrence Avenue West. The station serves the local communities of Lawrence Heights, Lawrence Manor and Glen Park, Toronto, Glen Park, and nearby destinations such as the Columbus Centre, Lawrence Heights Community Recreation Centre and Lawrence Allen Centre. The station has a Gateway Newstands in the north end concourse area at street level. History The station opened in 1978, as part of the subway line extension from to Wilson station (Toronto), Wilson station. The Blue Night Network is the Night bus service, overnight public transit service operated by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Eglinton West Station
Eglinton West is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the median of Allen Road on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West. It will become an interchange station with the upcoming Line 5 Eglinton, at which point it will be renamed Cedarvale. History The station opened in 1978, as part of the Line 1 extension from to station. Eglinton West had been planned to be an interchange station as part of the proposed Eglinton West line (not to be confused with the Eglinton Crosstown line). Weston Road is both a contour street and a north–south street in western Toronto and western York Region in Ontario, Canada. The road is named for the neighbourhood and former Town of Weston, which is located near Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West. Route description In the south, Weston Road begins at St. Clair Avenue opposite the north end of the southern leg of Keele Street. The southernmost 55 metres of the street north of St. Clair, where the roadway diverted to the west off its straight baseline, was formerly a part of Keele, which officially breaks here and is cut off from its short mid-section. Eglinton is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University of the Toronto subway. Located on Eglinton Avenue, it is central to the Yonge–Eglinton neighbourhood in Midtown Toronto. Claude Breeze , also known as Claude Herbert Breeze, and sometimes as C. Herbert (born October 9, 1938) is a Canadian figurative painter, known for paintings with raw, unsettling imagery. He is a Professor Emeritus at York University in Toronto, Ontario. Biography Breeze had his first one-person show in 1965 in Vancouver when he showed his ''Lovers in a Landscape'' series. It received much acclaim: the ''Vancouver Sun'' compared him with Francis Bacon.
