Lavie Tidhar
Lavie Tidhar (; born 16 November 1976) is an Israeli-born writer, working across multiple genres. He has lived in the United Kingdom and South Africa for long periods of time, as well as Laos and Vanuatu. As of 2013, Tidhar has lived in London. His novel '' Osama'' won the 2012 World Fantasy Award—Novel, beating Stephen King's '' 11/22/63'' and George R. R. Martin's '' A Dance with Dragons''. His novel '' A Man Lies Dreaming'' won the £5000 Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize, for Best British Fiction, in 2015. He won the John W. Campbell Memorial Award for Best Science Fiction Novel in 2017, for ''Central Station''. Arik Lavie
Arik Lavie (; 9 March 1927 – 29 June 2004) was an Israeli pop-rock-folk singer and actor. Early life Lavie was born to a Jewish single mother named Edith Hauben who gave birth to him at the age of 19. His father was a medical student from Riga who left him and his mother before he was born. His mother married a man named Frank Inselsbacher of the French Foreign Legion and he gave him his surname. In 1936, accompanied by distant relatives, he emigrated from Germany to Kfar Baruch in Mandatory Palestine at the age of 9. His career began in 1945 in the Palmach military band. In 1947 he joined the "Carmel" band. His extensive stage career, spanning decades, began in the 1950s. He acted in the Cameri Theater and sang together with "The Three Strings", which specialized in shepherds' songs. The Japanese animated television series '' Last Exile'' has a cast of characters designed by artist Range Murata. All names are displayed according to their spelling in the English subtitled version of the series, as released by Funimation Entertainment or in the romanization of the Japanese names as they appear on official merchandise published after the English localization of the series. Creation and conception The initial concept designs for ''Last Exile'' were created by character designer Range Murata. Murata also spent a great amount of time on costume design. Wanting to portray each character's personality more fully, he "tried to draw in the kind of material that would have been used in creating their clothes and try to represent the stitches connecting the fabric".
