Laura Heyboer
Laura Jo Heethuis (; born July 20, 1989) is a soccer coach and former American professional soccer forward. She played for Western New York Flash in the NWSL and was a member of the United States U-23 women's national soccer team. She is currently the head women's soccer coach and assistant men's soccer coach at Waynesburg University. Early life Heyboer was born in Michigan to parents, Dale and Joy Heyboer. She attended Unity Christian High School in her hometown of Hudsonville, Michigan where she graduated cum laude. She finished her high school career as Michigan's all-time points leader with 290. She was a two-time Michigan Miss Soccer and two-time Gatorade Player of the Year, the only player in state history to win each award twice. Eastern Michigan Eagles
The Eastern Michigan Eagles, formerly known as the Normalites and the Hurons, are the athletic teams for Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, United States. The Eagles compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level as members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The only exception is the women's rowing program, which is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association. 2013 National Women's Soccer League Season
The 2013 National Women's Soccer League season was the inaugural season of the National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. Including the NWSL's two professional predecessors, Women's Professional Soccer (2009–2011) and the Women's United Soccer Association (2001–2003), this was the seventh overall season of FIFA and USSF-sanctioned top division women's soccer in the United States. The league was (and is) operated by the United States Soccer Federation and received major financial backing from that body. NWSL Shield
The NWSL Shield is an annual award given to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) team with the best regular season record as determined by the NWSL points system. The NWSL Shield has been awarded annually since 2013 and is recognized as a major trophy by the league. Seattle Reign FC is an American professional soccer team based in Seattle, Washington, that competes in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Founded in 2012, it is one of eight inaugural members of the NWSL. Since June 2024, the Reign are owned by the private equity firm the Carlyle Group and Major League Soccer club Seattle Sounders FC.
