David Lasley
David Eldon Lasley (August 20, 1947 – December 9, 2021) was an American recording artist, singer, musician and songwriter. He was best known as a touring background singer for James Taylor, as a session singer on recordings by artists including Taylor, Bonnie Raitt, Luther Vandross, Chic, Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Bette Midler, Cher, Dusty Springfield and Boz Scaggs; as a songwriter for artists including Bonnie Raitt, Whitney Houston, Anita Baker, Maxine Nightingale, Rita Coolidge, Crystal Gayle, and Luther Vandross; and for his solo albums, albums with his 1970s vocal group Rosie, and for his early years in Detroit with his vocal group The Utopias. In 1980, David Lasley was signed by David Geffen to Geffen Records. At the time he was one of the chief staff writers at Irving Almo Music. Keith William Robert Lasley (born 21 September 1979) is a Scottish retired football midfielder, who is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Scottish Premiership club St Mirren. During his playing career, Lasley played for Motherwell, Plymouth Argyle and Blackpool. Life and career According to '' Daily Record'' article, Lasley was born in Paisley, Scotland. However, the official Motherwell site lists his birthplace as Glasgow. He joined Motherwell in 1999 from Paisley side Gleniffer Thistle, but had to wait 18 months to make his first team debut. He established himself in the team during the 2001–02 season and played regularly up until leaving the club in the summer of 2004 when he chose to not renew his contract. He scored nine goals in 97 appearances. Lasley joined Plymouth Argyle in June 2004, having signed a two-year contract with the club. Jordan Lasley (born November 13, 1996) is an American former professional football wide receiver. He played college football for the UCLA Bruins and was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL draft. Early life Lasley attended Serra High School in Gardena, California. As a senior, he had 34 receptions for 833 yards and 14 touchdowns. He committed to play football for the UCLA Bruins in June 2013. College career Lasley did not play as a true freshman in 2014 and chose to redshirt. As a redshirt freshman in 2015, Lasley played in ten games, catching three passes for 17 yards. In 2016, Lasley had a breakout season, appearing in 11 of UCLA's 12 games, having 41 receptions for 620 yards and five touchdowns.
