Art Lasky
Arthur Lakofsky (November 16, 1909 – April 2, 1980), also known as Art Lasky, was a heavyweight professional boxer from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Personal life Lasky was born in 1908 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and called Minneapolis his home. His parents were Jewish emigrants from Lithuania. Both he and his brother Maurice worked in a scrap metal yard before taking up boxing. His brothers Dave and Eli both had short, but less successful careers as boxers during the depression years of the 1930s. Lasky's brother Maurice acted as his trainer, and trained the boxer Young Harry Greb for a time. Bette Lasky
Bette R. Lasky (born March 16, 1947) was a member of the New Hampshire Senate, representing the 13th District from 2008 to 2010, and again from 2012 until her retirement in 2018. During her tenure, Lasky represented Wards 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in Nashua, New Hampshire. While on the State Senate she has served as Chair of the Election Law and Veteran's affairs Committee. Lasky has also served as Vice-Chair of the Judiciary Committee, and as a member of the Education Committee, and the Energy, Environment, and Economic Development Committee. David Lasky is an alternative cartoonist based in Seattle, Washington. Biography After spending the bulk of his early life in Virginia, and graduating from the College of William & Mary, Lasky moved to Seattle in 1992. He quickly found a circle of young comic book artists—including Megan Kelso, Tom Hart, Ed Brubaker, Jon Lewis, and Jason Lutes—drawing and publishing their own work. With them, Lasky aspired to take clichéd or neglected genres of comics and revitalize them with the lessons learned from the first wave of alternative comics. Floria Lasky
Floria V. Lasky (April 24, 1923 – September 21, 2007) was an American lawyer in the theater world, who represented some of the biggest names in American entertainment. Career Lasky was born in the Bronx, New York City. She was named for the eponymous heroine of the opera ''Tosca''. She was the younger sister of American journalist Melvin J. Lasky. She entered Hunter College at the age of 14 and graduated first in her class at New York University's law school in 1945, after which she joined the law firm of Fitelson & Mayers, where she would stay for the next 62 years, eventually becoming a principal partner. Jesse Louis Lasky (September 13, 1880 – January 13, 1958) was an American pioneer motion picture producer who was a key founder of what was to become Paramount Pictures, and father of screenwriter Jesse L.
