Lars Wilhelmsen
Lars Wilhelmsen (born 7 December 1946) is a Norwegian civil servant. He was born in Bergen as the son of Leif Wilhelmsen, and took the cand.philol. degree at the University of Oslo in 1972. He was hired as deputy under-secretary of State in the Ministry of Local Government and Labour in 1988. In 1994 he became the managing director of the Norwegian State Housing Bank. He was then the director of Aetat from 2001 to 2002, before resigning to return to the ministries. Per Engebretsen was acting director for some months until Inger-Johanne Stokke was hired as the new director. Wilhelmsen now works for the permanent under-secretary of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion. Osmund Kaldheim (born 20 January 1964) is a Norwegian businessman, civil servant and politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in Haugesund, but grew up in Etne. He worked as an adviser for the Conservative Party parliamentary group from 1987, and was a private secretary (now called political adviser) in the Ministry of Social Affairs from 1989 to 1990. Aetat (short for no, Arbeidsmarkedsetaten) was a Norwegian government agency responsible for battling unemployment. History It had its roots in the Directorate of Labour ( no, Arbeidsdirektoratet), which was founded in 1945. Its purpose was to "prevent and remedy" unemployment in the Norwegian society. Geir Barvik (born 19 May 1958, in Bø, Telemark) is a Norwegian civil servant. He served as Managing Director of the Norwegian State Housing Bank from 2001 to 2010 and as Director-General of the Directorate of Integration and Diversity from 2010 to 2016. Ivar Leveraas (born 17 July 1939) is a Norwegian civil servant and politician for the Labour Party. Leveraas was born in Haugesund. A mechanic by education, he worked as a secretary in Arbeidernes Opplysningsforbund (AOF) from 1970 to 1975. From 1975 to 1986 he was the secretary of the Labour party. He then was CEO of the Norwegian State Housing Bank from 1986 to 1994 and director of the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority from 1994 to 2006. Leif Jarmann Wilhelmsen (13 December 1910 – 14 November 1976) was a Norwegian philologist and civil servant. He was born in Stokke to Thomas Wilhelmsen and Else Larsen.
