Lars Steinar Ansnes (born March 1, 1956) is a Norwegian editor. Ansnes was born in Surnadal. He received his '' examen artium'' from Tingvoll High School in 1976, and completed the foundation course in Norwegian at Møre og Romsdal Regional College in Volda in 1977.Øy, Nils E., ed. 1998. Surnadal () is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Nordmøre region. The administrative centre is the village of Skei. Other villages in Surnadal include Glærem, Mo, Stangvik, Surnadalsøra, Sylte, Todalsøra, and Åsskard. A mild climate and rich soil make Surnadal well suited for agriculture. Examen artium was the name of the academic certification conferred in Denmark and Norway, qualifying the student for admission to university studies. Examen artium was originally introduced as the entrance exam of the University of Copenhagen in 1630. Romsdalsposten
''Romsdalsposten'' was a Norwegian newspaper, published in Kristiansund in Møre og Romsdal. ''Romsdalsposten'' was started on 5 January 1876, and issued by printer John Johnsen the first fifty years. The first editor was N. T. Holme. Among its later editors were Jonas Hestnes from 1891 to 1896 and Toralv Øksnevad from 1927 to 1933. In the inter-war period it had a circulation of around 8,000. From 1936 to the 1960s Aksel Hoel was the editor, except for some years during the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany when John Johnsen Jr. was a Nazi-installed editor. From 31 May 1986 the newspaper changed its name to ''Nordmørsposten'', and was owned by ''Dagbladet''. ''Indre Nordmør'' (Inner Nordmøre) was a Norwegian local newspaper published for the municipalities of Surnadal, Rindal, and Halsa in the county of Møre og Romsdal. The newspaper was founded in 1979 by Lars Steinar Ansnes, who also served as the paper's first editor. The main office was in Skei, in the municipality of Surnadal.
