Lars Kramm
Lars Martin Kramm is a British-German politician and scouting official who served as the Regional Chair of the European Regional Scout Committee of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) in the time from 2019-2022. Scouting Lars Kramm first got involved in German Scouting by joining his local DPSG Cub Scout Pack in 1994 and followed the youth programme through. He became a Cub Scout Leader, Scout Leader, Group Scout Leader and later District Commissioner for Scouts in Essen-South. Kramm was a member of Deutsche Pfadfinderschaft Sankt Georg's International Team between 2007 and 2016 and became International Commissioner in 2008. In this function, he served on the Central Council of the German Scout Federation. He was Head of the German Contingent to the Roverway 2009 in Iceland and the World Scout Jamboree 2011 in Sweden. Essen (; Latin: ''Assindia'') is the central and, after Dortmund, second-largest city of the Ruhr, the largest urban area in Germany. Unite to Remain () was a campaign and electoral pact during the 2019 United Kingdom general election. It involved three parties that Opposition to Brexit in the United Kingdom, supported remaining in the European Union: the Liberal Democrats (UK), Liberal Democrats, the Green Party of England and Wales, and, in Wales, Plaid Cymru. Its stated goal was to avoid the spoiler effect and maximise the number of MPs elected who would oppose Brexit. Julian Sturdy
Julian Charles Sturdy (born 3 June 1971) is a British Conservative Party politician and farmer. He was elected at the 2010 general election as Member of Parliament (MP) for York Outer. Early life and career Sturdy was born on 3 June 1971 to Robert Sturdy, later a Conservative Party MEP, and he grew up in Yorkshire, England. From 1981 to 1989, he was privately educated at Ashville College, a co-educational independent school in the spa town of Harrogate, North Yorkshire; he states "...my years there helped shape me into being the person I am today". The 2019 United Kingdom general election was held on Thursday, 12 December 2019. It resulted in the Conservative Party receiving a landslide majority of 80 seats. The Conservatives made a net gain of 48 seats and won 43.6% of the popular vote – the highest percentage for any party since 1979. Having failed to obtain a majority in the 2017 general election, the Conservative Party had faced prolonged parliamentary deadlock over Brexit while it governed in minority with the support of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP). The 2015 City of York Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect members of City of York Council in England. The whole council was up for election. Turnout was substantially up across the city due to the election being held on the same day as the general election and other local elections in England. Since the previous election in 2011 a review of ward boundaries had affected some wards, although the total number of councillors remained at 47. The following wards remained unchanged from 2011: Acomb, Bishopthorpe, Dringhouses and Woodthorpe, Haxby and Wigginton, Holgate, Huntington and New Earswick, Micklegate, Strensall, Westfield and Wheldrake.
