Larry Welz
Lawrence Edward Welz (born November 21, 1948) is an American cartoonist who created Cherry Poptart (now known simply as Cherry). He was an early contributor to the underground comix movement in the San Francisco area during the late 1960s and early 1970s. He graduated from Bakersfield High School. Work From 1969 to 1970, his work appeared regularly in '' Yellow Dog'', a comics anthology published by the Print Mint in Berkeley, California. He also contributed to '' San Francisco Comic Book'', ''Captain Guts'', ''Funnybook'', ''Bakersfield Kountry Komics'', ''American Flyer Funnies'', and ''Good Eatin' Comix''. In the early 1980s, Welz created Cherry Poptart, a character who evolved from stories in ''Funnybook'' and ''Bakersfield Kountry Komics''. ''Welcome to Carcass Cuntry'' is a country metal album by Jeffrey Walker, of the metal band Carcass. The instrumentation is performed by notable heavy metal musicians, including Faith No More's Billy Gould, H.I.M.'s Ville Valo, Anathema's Danny Cavanagh and Carcass members Bill Steer and Ken Owen. The album cover is by Larry Welz, the creator of ''Cherry''. Production The album was recorded between September 2004 and August 2005. Jeff Walker (musician)
Jeffrey Walker (born 25 March 1969) is an English musician, best known as the bassist and lead vocalist of extreme metal band Carcass (band), Carcass, for which he is also serves as the primary lyricist. Before Carcass, he played in English thrashcore band Electro Hippies as guitarist and vocalist. After the initial demise of Carcass, he went on to form hard rock band Blackstar (band), Blackstar with two former Carcass bandmates, and joined American grindcore supergroup, Brujeria (band), Brujeria. Loudwire placed him at number 22 on their list of Top 25 Extreme Metal Vocalists. Biography He created the cover artwork for a few albums, including ''Scum (Napalm Death album), Scum'' by Napalm Death.
