Larry Ekundayo
Larry Ekundayo (born Olanrewaju Ekundayo on 13 June 1982) is a Nigerian professional boxer. He held the African Boxing Union, African welterweight title from 2015 to 2016 and the International Boxing Federation, IBF European welterweight title from 2018 to 2019. Career Ekundayo was born in Lagos State, Lagos, Nigeria on 13 June 1982. He started boxing for self defense at the age of 12. In 1998, he won the Nigerian Amateur Bantamweight Championship and participated in the 1999 All-Africa Games in South Africa. He made a career switch from bantamweight to welterweight and won the Nigerian Amateur Welterweight Championship in year 2000. He participated in the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, UK and finished as a quarter-finalist. Welterweight is a weight class in combat sports. Originally the term "welterweight" was used only in boxing, but other combat sports like Muay Thai, taekwondo, and mixed martial arts also use it for their own weight division system to classify the opponents. The World Boxing Organization (WBO) is an organization which sanctions professional boxing bouts. It is recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) as one of the four major world championship groups, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and International Boxing Federation (IBF). The Troxy
Troxy is a Grade II-listed Art Deco music venue on Commercial Road in Stepney, London. Built as a cinema in 1933, it closed in 1960 and became a training school for the London Opera Centre. In the 1980s the building was used as a bingo hall, and the Troxy was converted to a live events space in 2006. The building is considered a vital part of East London's history and was Grade II listed in 1990. It has a capacity of 3,100. History Opened in 1933 on the site of an old brewery, Troxy cost £250,000 to build and when it first showed films had a capacity of 3,520, making it the largest cinema in England at that time. The York Hall, officially known as York Hall Leisure Centre, is a multi-purpose indoor arena and leisure complex in Bethnal Green, London, and is situated on Old Ford Road. Craig McEwan (born 13 April 1982) is a Scottish boxer raised in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh, Scotland. He began attending boxing classes at Clovenstone Amateur Boxing Club, aged seven, coached by his father Rab. McEwan turned professional in 2006 and is currently fighting at middleweight.
