Larry Bimi (died 23 July 2011) was a Ghanaian lawyer and public official. History He was born in Bimbagu in the Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District of the Northern Region. Public life He practiced as a lawyer in Ghana till he was called to chair the National Commission for Civic Education in 2009. As chairman of the commission he supervised the education people on their democratic rights and obligations. National Commission For Civic Education
The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) is a government agency in Ghana. It is the commission responsible for the education of Ghanaians on civic matters. The commission was established by Act 452 of the Parliament of Ghana in 1993. Setup and membership The commission is run by a seven-member committee headed by the commission's chairman, two deputies and four members. The committee's membership is through appointment by the President of Ghana upon the advice of the Council of State. Requirement of membership Any one of the members of the commission must by law be a Ghanaian who possesses all the characteristics that qualifies one to be elected as a Member of Parliament and must also be a non executive in any political party. Charlotte Osei
Charlotte Kesson-Smith Osei (born 1 February 1969) is the UN International Elections Commissioner, a Ghanaian lawyer and former chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Ghana from 2015 until she was dismissed in June 2018 on grounds of financial malfeasance. Her dismissal has been challenged in the Supreme Court of Ghana by two separate writs. She became the first female to serve in the office of the Electoral Commission of Ghana since the independence of Ghana. Before her appointment she was the chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education. Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital
Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) is a public teaching hospital located in the Ablekuma South Metropolitan District in Accra, Ghana. It is the only public tertiary hospital in the southern part of the country. It is a teaching hospital affiliated with the medical school of the University of Ghana. Three centres of excellence, the National Cardiothoracic Centre, the National Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Radiotherapy Centres are all part of it. Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District is a former district that was located in Northern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger East Mamprusi District in 1988 (which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 18 March 2018 to become East Mamprusi Municipal District), which was created from the former Mamprusi District Mamprusi District is a former district council that was located in North East Region, Ghana.
