Larissa Nüsser
Larissa Nüsser (born 8 February 2000) is a Dutch handball player, who plays for Gloria Bistrița and for the Dutch national team. She was a part the Netherlands team that won the 2019 World Women's Handball Championship; the first title in the country's history. Club career Nüsser started playing handball at her hometown club HV Born and transferred later to BFC Beek. In 2014 she joined the Dutch top league team HandbaL Venlo together with her sister Chiara Nüsser. A year later she joined league rivals SV Dalfsen, where she won the Dutch cup twice and Dutch championship and Dutch supercup once. In 2018 she joined Danish top league side København Håndbold. In December 2021 she joined league rivals Odense Håndbold to replace the injured Mia Rej. The transfer was a record sale for København Håndbold. 2023 World Women's Handball Championship
The 2023 IHF World Women's Handball Championship was the 26th edition of the championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF) from 29 November to 17 December 2023 and jointly hosted by Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. It was the third time in handball history that the championship is jointly hosted, the first in Sweden, and also the first to be played in three countries. France won their third title after a finals win over Norway. The bronze medal went to Denmark with a win over Sweden. The 2021 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 25th event by the International Handball Federation, was held in Spain from 1 to 19 December 2021. The 2020 European Women's Handball Championship was held from 3 to 20 December 2020. The games were played in Herning and Kolding, Denmark. Originally, this tournament would be held with 2 host countries: Norway and Denmark. However, lacking some time for the beginning, Norway renounced the right to seat, respecting the local legislation about the COVID-19 pandemic.
