Allen Christensen (born 19 May 1991) is a former professional Australian rules football player who played for the Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats in the Australian Football League. Early life Born and raised in the Geelong rural suburb of Lara to parents Brendan and Helen, Christensen played junior football with the Lara Football Club, and later the St Mary's Football Club in Darwin as an under-15 and under-16 player while his father coached the senior side for two seasons in 2005 and 2006. Nigel Kol
Nigel Kol (born 1 January 1962) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong and Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Originally from Geelong Football League club Lara, Kol made his senior VFL debut for Geelong in the 1983 VFL season, one of them with his identical twin brother Michael. After failing to play a senior game in 1984, Kol made his way to Melbourne and played nine games for his new club in the second half of the 1985 VFL season. He was then a regular member of the side in 1986, featuring in 17 of a possible 22 games. Although Michael Kol was still playing at Geelong during this time, the brothers never had to play against each other as one was invariably never picked whenever Geelong and Melbourne met. Michael Kol (born 1 January 1962) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the 1980s. Kol played for Geelong Football League club Lara and the Geelong Under-19s before making his VFL senior debut in 1983. He kicked 22 goals from 18 games in 1983, to finish second behind Terry Bright in the club goal-kicking table. His twin brother, Nigel Kol, was also at Geelong in 1983 but they would appear together just once, against Sydney at Kardinia Park in round eight. The Geelong & District Football League (GDFNL) is an Australian rules football and netball league in Victoria, being the oldest surviving competition in the region. It is one of three leagues in the Geelong area, the others being the Geelong FNL and the Bellarine FNL. There are 12 teams competing in the GDFL, which has also produced over 600 VFL/AFL players.
