Claude Lanthier
Claude Lanthier (January 24, 1933 – April 12, 2015) was a Canadian politician. An engineering professional, professor at University de Montreal's École d'Architecture, and well known wine connoisseur (also member of the Board for Québec's Liquor Board c. 1978-1982), Lanthier was elected to the House of Commons of Canada as the Progressive Conservative Member of Parliament for the Montreal riding of Lasalle in the 1984 federal election. He served variously as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of State for Science and Technology, and lastly Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Works. Jean-Marc Lanthier (ice Hockey)
Jean-Marc Lanthier (born March 27, 1963) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who spent parts of four seasons in the National Hockey League for the Vancouver Canucks during the mid-1980s. He also played several years in the minor American Hockey League, and retired in 1990. Biography Lanthier was born in Montreal, Quebec. As a youth, he played in the 1976 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Montreal. A gifted junior scorer, Lanthier was selected in the third round (52nd overall) of the 1981 Entry Draft by the Canucks. In his last two junior seasons with the Laval Voisins, he was a linemate of a young Mario Lemieux. He turned pro in 1983, spending most of the 1983–84 season in the AHL, where he notched 25 goals in 60 games for the Fredericton Express. Jean-Marc Lanthier (Canadian Army Officer)
Lieutenant General Jean-Marc Lanthier, is a retired Canadian Army officer who served as Commander of the Canadian Army from July 2018 to July 2019. He was Vice Chief of the Defence Staff from July 2019 to his announcement of retiring in March 2020. Military career Lanthier was commissioned as an armoured officer in the Canadian Armed Forces in 1989. He became commanding officer of the 12e Régiment blindé du Canada and went on to be commander of 5 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group. After that he became Deputy Commanding General Sustainment I Corps, a unit of the United States Army, in June 2011, Commander of 2nd Canadian Division in July 2013, and Commander Canadian Army Doctrine and Training Centre in July 2014, before becoming Chief of Programme in April 2017. April Wine
April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969 and based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Led by singer-guitarist-songwriter Myles Goodwin since its inception, April Wine's first success came with its second album, '' On Record'' (1972), which reached the top 40 in Canada and yielded two hit singles: " Bad Side of the Moon", a top 20 hit in Canada; and " You Could Have Been a Lady", a number 2 song in Canada. The band would go on to enjoy international success during the rest of the 1970s and early 80s, releasing more than 20 albums.
