Langtang Mafia
The "Langtang Mafia" is a rumored clique of military men from Langtang, Plateau State who hold or have held positions of power in the Nigerian government. The term is often used in reference to the 1985 – 1993 Babangida junta. Purported members have included Lt Gen Joshua Dogonyaro (retired, deceased), Lt Gen Jeremiah Useni (retired), Gen Domkat Bali (retired, deceased), Brig Gen John Nanzip Shagaya (retired and former Senator, deceased), and Lt Gen Muhammad A. Langtang, Nigeria
Langtang is a town and LGA in Plateau State, Nigeria. The town is located in the southern part of Plateau state and connected to Tunkus, Shendam, Kanam and Wase through paved roads. It has the local government secretariat and the Ponzhi Tarok palace situated at the heart of the town. Plateau State

Ibrahim Babangida
Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (born 17 August, 1941) is a retired Nigerian Army general and politician. He served as military president of Nigeria from 1985 until his resignation in 1993. He rose through the ranks to serve from 1984 to 1985 as Chief of Army Staff; going on to orchestrate his seizure of power in a coup d'état against Muhammadu Buhari. Joshua Nimyel Dogonyaro (12 September 1940 – 14 May 2021) was a Nigerian army lieutenant general and a military administrator. Early life and education Dogonyaro was born in Vom, Plateau State, though a native of Taroh in Langtang North Local Government Area. Jeremiah Useni
Jeremiah Timbut Useni (born 16 February 1943) is a retired Nigerian army lieutenant general, who served as minister responsible for the administration of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja under the Sani Abacha military junta. He served Nigeria in various capacities such as Minister for Transport and Quarter-Master General of the Nigeria Army. Useni also served as Deputy Chairman of one of the significant parties in Nigeria, the All Nigeria Peoples Party. John Nanzip Shagaya (Danburam Langtang II) (2 September 1942 – 11 February 2018) was a Nigerian senator and former military officer who was elected in April 2007 to represent the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State as member of the Nigerian Senate for Plateau South. He ran for reelection in April 2011 on the Labour Party (LP) platform, but was defeated by Victor Lar of the PDP.
