Velbert (, Low Rhenish: ''Vèlbed'') is a town in the district of Mettmann (district), Mettmann, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The Langenberg transmission tower (also translated as "Sender Langenberg" or "Transmission Facility Langenberg") is a broadcasting station for analog FM broadcasting, FM Radio and Digital-TV (DVB-T2 HD) signals. Medium wave (MW) is a part of the medium frequency (MF) radio band used mainly for AM radio broadcasting.
