Landmark Nuart
The Nuart Theatre is an art-house movie-theater in Los Angeles, California, United States. It is the flagship location of the Landmark Theatres chain in the United States. Location The Nuart is on Santa Monica Boulevard, one block from the 405 Freeway. History The Nuart was built in 1929. The Nuart was bought by Landmark Theatres in 1974 and was the first Landmark theater, soon joined by others including the UC Theater in Berkeley. The theater was remodelled in 2006 and currently seats 303 people. In February 2024, the Nuart celebrated its 50th anniversary. Programming The Nuart is a single-screen theater known for its "eclectic" mix of arthouse, independent, and foreign film programming. The Go-Go's
The Go-Go's are an American all-female Rock music, rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. Except for short periods when other musicians joined briefly, the band has had a relatively stable lineup consisting of Charlotte Caffey on lead guitar and keyboard instrument, keyboards, Belinda Carlisle on lead vocals, Gina Schock on drums, Kathy Valentine on bass guitar, bass, and Jane Wiedlin on rhythm guitar. Regina Ann Schock (born August 31, 1957) is an American musician, best known as the drummer for the rock band the Go-Go's. Schock was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October 2021 as a member of the Go-Go's. Early life Regina Ann Schock was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 31, 1957, to June and John Schock. She was raised in the nearby working-class suburb of Dundalk. She lived in the German Hill neighborhood. She was educated in private Catholic schools, attending Sacred Heart of Mary School and Catholic High School in Dundalk. Edith Massey (born Edith Y. Dornfeld; May 28, 1918 – October 24, 1984) was an American actress and singer. Massey was best known for her appearances in a series of movies by director John Waters. She was one of the Dreamlanders, Waters's stable of regular cast and crew members. Early life Born as Edith Dornfeld on May 28, 1918, in New York City, she was the daughter of Bessie (née Lansnek, 1896–1925) and Samuel Dornfeld (1891–1918), an Austrian-born Jewish couple. Peter Scott Ivers (born Peter Scott Rose, September 20, 1946 – March 3, 1983) was an American musician, singer, songwriter and television personality.
