Lamenu Stadium
Lamenu Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Tanna (island), Tanna Island, Vanuatu. Its foremost use if for Association football, football purposes attributable to its grass field. There is an Under-15 Centre of Excellence football program at Lamenu Stadium headed by Joel Stephen. A promotional football 'Respect Festival' took place in Vanuatu in February 2016 with Lamenu Stadium hosting the one on Tanna (island), Tanna. The Vanuatu Cricket Outreach Programme launched at this venue in 2012. On top of that, it was the venue for the 2017 TVL Cup final, which marked the culmination of the season. Tanna (sometimes misspelled ''Tana'') is an island in Tafea Province of Vanuatu. Name The name ''Tanna'', first cited by James Cook, is derived from the word ''tana'' in the Kwamera language, meaning "earth". The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF) is the main governing body of all football in Vanuatu. It is an association of Vanuatu football clubs, and it organises national competitions and international matches for the Vanuatu National Football Team. The men's national team is ranked 164th in the FIFA World Rankings (Men). The men compete in major tournaments like Hero Intercontinental Cup, FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (Oceania) and OFC Nations Cup.
