Laman Ama
''Laman Ama'' ( English: ''A Vengeance Story'') is a 2018 Manipuri film directed by Sanad Aribam and produced by Rajeshwar Aribam, under the banner of Fast Forward Films. It stars Raju Nong, Saroja Devi Chongtham and Hemlet in the lead roles. It is a Manipuri thriller film. It is adapted from Randy Oliver's ''Angle of Deflection''. The film was released at Manipur State Film Development Corporation (MSFDS), Imphal on 14 October 2018. The movie was selected for the 11th International Guwahati Film Festival 2018. The blessing ceremony was held at Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai on 3 October 2015. Synopsis A single mother with a shady past rises against all odds to avenge her daughter. Meitei Language
Meitei (; ) also known as Manipuri ), is a Tibeto-Burman language of northeast India. It is the official language and the lingua franca of Manipur and an additional official language in four districts of Assam. Cinema Of Manipur
The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. The Manipuri film industry was born when '' Matamgi Manipur'' by Debkumar Bose was released on 9 April 1972. From Aribam Syam Sharma's '' Paokhum Ama'' and M.A. Singh's '' Langlen Thadoi'' to Oken Amakcham's '' Lammei'' and Haobam Paban Kumar's '' Loktak Lairembee'' and many others, Manipuri cinema, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022, has grown in both its form and culture. ''Imphal Free Press'' is an English-language daily published in Manipur, India. Alongside the Sangai Express, it is one of the two most widely read newspapers of Manipur. It is considered as one of the "good quality" newspapers, among approximately 40 papers in the state of Manipur. History The original Imphal Free Press was owned by Sapam Nishikanta. In 1996, Pradip Phanjoubam walked out with the name and started a new Imphal Free Press. Phanjoubam edits and owns the new Imphal Free Press ever since. Sapam Nishikanta continued publishing under the names ''Manipur Free Press'' that turned into the ''Sangai Express'', now the main competitor of the ''Imphal Free Press''.
