Lalith Chandra Buddhisiri Dissanayake (born 19 November 1955) is a Sri Lankan politician, a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka and a government minister. He is an alumnus of Dharmaraja College Dharmaraja College (), founded in 1887, is a boys' school in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is a Buddhist school with around 300+ teaching staff and over 4,000+ students. Lalith William Samarasekera Athulathmudali, PC (; 26 November 1936 – 23 April 1993), known as Lalith Athulathmudali, was a Sri Lankan politician. He was a prominent member of the United National Party, who served as Minister of Trade and Shipping; Minister National Security and Deputy Minister of Defence; Minister of Agriculture, Food and Cooperatives and finally Minister of Education. Following a failed impeachment of President Ranasinghe Premadasa, he was removed from the UNP and formed his own party, the Democratic United National Front. Vijalath Pathirannehelage Lalith Wijeratne (1 January 1958 – 4 January 1990: ), popularly as Lalith Wijerathna, was a Sri Lankan politician and militant leader. He was a member of the JVP party in the period 1983-1990. He was known to be appointed as the third leader of the JVP after Rohana Wijeweera and Saman Piyasiri Fernando. Personal life Wijeratne was born on 1 January 1958 in Barawawila, Divulapitiya, Sri Lanka as the third child in the family. His father Vijalath Pathirannahelage Piyasena was born on 25 December 1924. Lalith Wasantha Silva Kaluperuma (born 25 June 1949) is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer, who played first-class cricket from 1970 to 1983. He played in Sri Lanka's first Test team in 1982. Cricket career Kaluperuma was educated at Kalutara Vidyalaya and Nalanda College, Colombo. He played for Bloomfield in Sri Lankan domestic cricket. An off-spin bowler, useful lower-order batsman and fine fieldsman in the gully, he was a regular member of the Sri Lankan team throughout the 1970s. When Sri Lanka toured Pakistan in 1973-74 he took 8 for 50 in the first innings of the match against the North West Frontier Province Governor's XI. Lalith Chandrakumar Weeratunga ( Sinhala: ලලිත් වීරතුංග Tamil: லலித் வீரதூங்க) (known as ''Lalith Weeratunga''), (born 14 May 1950) SLAS, is the former Permanent Secretary to the President of Sri Lanka (also known as the President's Secretary). Lieutenant Colonel J.A.L Jayasinghe PWV, WWV, RWP, RSP (29 April 1976 - 26 November 2008) was a special forces officer in the Sri Lanka Army, who was posthumously awarded the Parama Weera Vibhushanaya (PWV) the highest award for combat bravery in Sri Lanka. Lalith Vasantha Jayasundara (born 4 February 1953) is a Sri Lankan former cricket umpire. He officiated in nine international fixtures, all of them One Day International matches between 1999 and 2001.
