Laki Mulipola Leiataua
Laki Mulipola Leiataua (born ~1970) is a Samoan politician and former member of the Legislative Assembly of Samoa. He is a member of the Human Rights Protection Party. Mulipola is from Salua on Manono Island. He was educated at Salua Manono Primary School, A’ana Secondary School, Samoa College and the National University of Samoa. He worked as a customs agent for nine years before starting his own freight forwarding business. In 2015 he was convicted and discharged of negligent driving causing death after a traffic incident. 2021 Samoan General Election
General elections were held in Samoa on 9 April 2021 to determine the composition of the 17th Parliament. The Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP), which had been in government for most of the time since 1982, was led into the election by Tuilaʻepa Saʻilele Malielegaoi, who had served as prime minister since 1998. The passage of the controversial Land and Titles bills by the HRPP led some party members to defect, establishing the Faʻatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) party promising a repeal. FAST elected Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa, the daughter of Samoa's first prime minister, as leader shortly before the election; she left the ruling party and resigned as deputy prime minister in 2020, also in opposition to the amendments. Faʻatuatua I Le Atua Samoa Ua Tasi
(FAST; ) is a political party in Samoa. It was founded and is led by MP Laauli Leuatea Polataivao, FAST was led by Prime Minister Fiamē Naomi Mataafa from 2021 until she was removed as leader in January 2025. Formation The party was registered on 30 July 2020, and in August 2020 began announcing candidates for the 2021 Samoan general election. It opposes controversial constitutional amendments proposed by the Human Rights Protection Party government of Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, and supports a two term limit for the prime minister. General elections were held in Samoa on 4 March 2016 to determine the composition of the 16th Parliament. Samoa College
Samoa College is a secondary education, secondary school in Samoa officially opened in 1953. It is Mixed-sex education, co-educational and teaches from years 9 to 13. It is in Apia on the island of Upolu and is considered the main college in the country. The early college and curriculum was modeled on secondary schools in New Zealand, reflecting the country's colonial history.
