Lake Sibhayi
Lake Sibhayi, also known as Lake Sibaya, a freshwater lake in South Africa, with a surface area of . The lake is also known as Sibaya or Sibhaya. The lake is located in the Maputaland, or Umhlabuyalingana, area of KwaZulu-Natal, on the east coast of South Africa. It is part of the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park and is recognised under the Ramsar Convention as a "Wetland of International Importance" on 28 June 1991. In December 1999, the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it was renamed the iSimangaliso Wetland Park in 2009. 279 bird species have been identified at Lake Sibhayi. The Mseleni Water Project and Mbazwana Water Supply Scheme both get their water from Lake Sibhayi. Tourism Lake Sibaya Lodge is situated on the northern shores of the lake. Maputaland
Maputaland is a natural region of Southern Africa. It is located in the northern part of the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa between Eswatini and the coast. In a wider sense it may also include the southernmost region of Mozambique. The bird routes and coral reefs off the coast are major tourist attractions. Mseleni
Mseleni is a small settlement in Umhlabuyalingana Maputaland, northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is situated not far away from the small town of Mbazwana. It is divided into 2 small izigodi namely KwaJobe and KwaNhlamvu, ruled under the Authority of Nkosi J Nxumalo of Mabaso Tribal Authority. Mseleni Hospital is a 184-bed hospital which is split into 6 wards (labour, female surgical, paediatrics, male, female medical and isolation wards). Sodwana Bay
Sodwana Bay is a bay in South Africa on the KwaZulu Natal north coast, between St. Lucia and Lake Sibhayi. It is in the Sodwana Bay National Park, and the Maputaland Marine Reserve, and is a popular recreational diving destination. The term is commonly used to refer to both the marine reserve and the terrestrial park, as well as the geographical bay. Sodwana Bay National Park is a narrow strip of forested sand dunes located along the east coast. Proclaimed a national park in the 1950s, it is frequented by anglers and divers.
