Lake Pusiano
Lake Pusiano, also called Casletto or Eupili (Lagh de Pusian in Lombard, Lacus Pusianum in Latin), is a lake located between the provinces of Como and Lecco, in Brianza, Lombardy. In his honor Giuseppe Parini published his first book of poems (of arcane tone), under the pseudonym of Ripano Eupilino. The painter Giovanni Segantini painted Lake Pusiano in his famous painting Ave Maria a trasbordo, which is among the first that mark the evolution towards pointillism. Hydrography Lake Pusiano is the largest of the Lakes Briantei, has a maximum length of 2,700 meters, a width of 2,400 meters, a perimeter of about 11 kilometers, a minimum area (in lean times) of 5,250,000 square meters that reaches 6,720,000 square meters in times of flood. The volume of water is 81 million cubic meters. Monte Cornizzolo
Monte Cornizzolo (Insubric ''Curnisciöö'') is a mountain situated between the province of Como and the province of Lecco, Lombardy, northern Italy, particularly in the territory of the village of Canzo. The peak reaches 1,241 metres in altitude. It houses the Marisa Consigliere mountain hut, open every Sunday throughout the year, at 1,100 metres above sea level. Mount Cornizzolo is well known amongst hang gliding and paragliding fans, due to a launch camp which is available almost all year. An element of historical interest is the Abbey of San Pietro al Monte, an 11th-century building which is located in a little valley on the mountain. Peafowl
Peafowl is a common name for two bird species of the genus '' Pavo'' and one species of the closely related genus '' Afropavo'' within the tribe Pavonini of the family Phasianidae (the pheasants and their allies). Male peafowl are referred to as peacocks, and female peafowl are referred to as peahens. The two Asiatic species are the blue or Indian peafowl originally from the Indian subcontinent, and the green peafowl from Southeast Asia. The third peafowl species, the Congo peafowl, is native only to the Congo Basin. Male peafowl are known for their piercing calls and their extravagant plumage. Eugène Rose de Beauharnais (; 3 September 1781 – 21 February 1824) was a French statesman and military officer who served in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. Through the second marriage of his mother, Joséphine de Beauharnais, he was the stepson of Napoleon Bonaparte. Ferdinand Charles (17 May 1628 – 30 December 1662) was the Archduke of Further Austria, including Tyrol, from 1646 to 1662. As the son of Archduke Leopold V and Claudia de' Medici, he succeeded his father upon the latter's death in 1632, under his mother's regency. He took over his mother's governatorial duties when he came of age in 1646. To finance his extravagant living style, he sold goods and entitlements.
