Lake Laut Tawar
Lake Laut Tawar () is a lake in Central Aceh Regency of Aceh Province, Indonesia. It is located at . The name literally means "freshwater sea". The Peusangan River serves as the outflow channel for the lake. The lake is an important ecosystem to its endemic marine species, such as Rasbora tawarensis fish. Central Aceh Regency () is a regency in Aceh province of Indonesia. It is located on Sumatra island. ''Rasbora'' is a genus of fish in the family Danionidae. They are native to freshwater habitats in South and Southeast Asia, as well as southeast China. This is a list of river catchment areas, also known as drainage basins, in Indonesia. Based on the National River Basin Classification map, Indonesia has a total of 42,210 river basins organized as a basis for determining watershed management policies. The policy decisions are based on various criteria such as land conditions (critical land, land cover, erosion), water quality, water quantity, water continuity, socio-economic factors, investment in soil and water conservation structures, as well as spatial utilization. Rembele Airport
Rembele Airport is an airport serving the city of Takengon in the Central Aceh Regency, Aceh, Sumatra Island, Indonesia. The airport serves as one of the point of entry to the Gayo highland, a tourism destination known for its coffee and natural environment, including Lake Laut Tawar. To boost tourism growth in the region, the airport was renovated between 2014 and 2016, and the airport terminal's area of 400 m2 expanded to 1000 m2. The terminal can accommodate around 200,000 passengers annually. The appearance of the interior of the terminal was extensively remodeled. On the air side, the runway was extended from the original 1,400 m x 30 m to 2,250 m x 30 m so that it can accommodate narrow-body aircraft such as the Boeing 737 Next Generation and the C-130 Hercules. Takengon
Takengon is a town in Aceh, Indonesia. The town itself sits on three administrative districts of the Central Aceh Regency—Bebesen, Kebayakan, and Lut Tawar, and acts as the seat of Central Aceh Regency.
