Lagunes District
Lagunes District (, , ) is one of fourteen administrative districts of Ivory Coast. The district is located in the southern part of the country. The capital of the district is Dabou. Creation Lagunes District was created in a 2011 administrative reorganisation of the subdivisions of Ivory Coast.Décret n° 2011-263 du 28 septembre 2011 portant organisation du territoire national en Districts et en Régions. The territory of the district was composed by merging the former regions of Agnéby and Lagunes and removing the territory of the Abidjan Autonomous District. Grands-Ponts Region (also originally known as Leboutou Region) is one of the 31 Regions of Ivory Coast, regions of Ivory Coast. Since its establishment in 2011, it has been one of three regions in Lagunes District. The seat of the region is Dabou and the region's population in the 2021 census was 450,007.
