Laetitia Coryn
Laetitia Coryn (born 1984) is a French comic artist, illustrator and voice actor. Biography At the age of fifteen, Coryn met the comic artist Jean-Claude Mézières, who inspired her to pursue a career in illustration. She went on to study at the ''École supérieure des arts et industries graphiques'' (ESAIG) in Paris and in 2009 she published her first comic book at Glénat Editions. In 2016, Coryn collaborated with French psychiatrist and sexologist Philippe Brenot to publish ''Sex Story'', a comic book about the cultural history of sex. Jean-Claude Mézières
Jean-Claude Mézières (; 23 September 1938 – 23 January 2022) was a French Bande dessinée, ''bandes dessinées'' artist and illustrator. Born in Paris and raised in nearby Saint-Mandé, he was introduced to drawing by his elder brother and influenced by comics artists such as Hergé, Andre Franquin and Morris (comics), Morris and later by Jijé and Jack Davis (cartoonist), Jack Davis. Educated at the École nationale supérieure des arts appliqués et des métiers d'art, he worked upon graduation as an illustrator for books and magazines as well as in advertising. A lifelong interest in the Wild West led him to travel to the United States in 1965 in search of adventure as a cowboy, an experience that would prove influential on his later work. Glénat Editions SA is a French publisher with its head office in Grenoble. Their products include comic albums and manga in France, Benelux, and in the past Spain; it was founded by Jacques Glénat. The Benelux subsidiary, Glénat Benelux N.V., is located in Brussels, Belgium. The Switzerland subsidiary, Glénat Editions (Suisse) SA, has its headquarters in Nyon. The Spanish subsidiary had its head office in Barcelona. Leïla Slimani
Leïla Slimani (born 3 October 1981) is a Franco-Moroccan writer and journalist. She is also a French diplomat in her capacity as the personal representative of the French president Emmanuel Macron to the '' Organisation internationale de la Francophonie''. In 2016 she was awarded the Prix Goncourt for her novel '' Chanson douce''. Life Slimani's maternal grandmother Anne Dhobb (née Ruetsch, born 1921) grew up in Alsace. In 1944 she met her future husband Lakhdar Dhobb, a Moroccan colonel in the French Colonial Army, during the liberation of France. After the war she followed him back to Morocco, where they lived in Meknes. Her autobiographical novel was published in 2003; she became the first writer in the family. Her daughter - Slimani's mother - is Béatrice-Najat Dhobb-Slimani, an otolaryngologist, who married the French-educated Moroccan economist Othman Slimani.
