Ladosu Ladapo
Chief Ladosu Ladapo Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN (1929–June 24, 2003) was a notable Nigerian jurist and politician. He was a scion of the Ladapo family of Abebi, Ibadan. He served as Commissioner for Economic Planning and Reconstruction and Commissioner for Works and Transport between 1971 and 1975 in the then Western State (Nigeria) In 1969, Ladapo founded a distinguished law firm, which later became notable for employing Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, the future Chief Justice of Nigeria, who worked there between 1988 and 1989, during the early stages of his legal career. Ladapo became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria on September 9, 1985. He served as Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan chapter, between 1978 and 1980. Western State (Nigeria)
The former Western State of Nigeria was formed in 1967 when the Western Region was subdivided into the states of Lagos and Western State. Its capital was Ibadan, which was the capital of the old region. The largest ethnic group here are the Yoruba. In 1976, the state was subdivided into three new states, Ogun, Ondo and Oyo. University College Hospital, Ibadan (UCH) is a Federal teaching Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria affiliated with the University of Ibadan. History The University College Hospital(Uch), Ibadan was established in August 1952 by an Act of Parliament in response to the need for the training of medical personnel and other healthcare professionals for Nigeria and the West African sub-region. The establishment of the hospital followed a Visitation Panel in 1951, which assess the clinical facilities for the clinical postings of medical students registered for an M.B.B.S. degree at the University of London. The chief justice of Nigeria or CJN is the head of the judicial arm of the government of Nigeria, and presides over the country's Supreme Court and the National Judicial Council. Olukayode Ariwoola (born 22 August 1954) is a Nigerian jurist and justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria who served as the chief justice of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2022 to 2024. He was formerly a justice of the Nigerian courts of appeal and on 22 November 2011, he was appointed to the bench of the supreme court of Nigeria. He was appointed substantive chief justice of Nigeria on 27 June 2022 following the resignation of former chief justice Tanko Muhammad and formally confirmed chief justice by the Nigerian Senate on 21 September 2022. Joseph Abiodun Ladapo (born December 16, 1978) is a Nigerian-American doctor serving as the surgeon general of Florida since 2021. Ladapo is best known for his opposition to COVID-19 mitigation measures, and promotion of COVID-19 misinformation, for which he has been rebuked by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Ladapo has promoted unproven treatments, opposed vaccine and mask mandates, questioned the safety of COVID-19 vaccines, and contradicted professional medical organizations.
