Markus Hipfl (born 26 April 1978) is a former professional tennis player from Austria. Career Hipfl had a noteworthy junior career. He won the Under-16s Orange Bowl in 1994 and was also a finalist in that year's European Championship. In 1996 he finished runner-up in the 1996 US Open Boys' Singles, losing in the final to German Daniel Elsner. During the 1999 ATP Tour, Hipfl broke into the top 100 for the first time. He made the semi-finals of Morocco's Grand Prix Hassan II and was a quarter-finalist at four tournaments, in San Marino, Sankt Pölten, Sicily and Majorca. His best performances in 2000 included being a semi-finalist at the Swedish Open and making another quarter-final appearance in the International Raiffeisen Grand Prix at Sankt Pölten. Stefan Wauters
Stefan Wauters (born 12 March 1982) is a former professional tennis player from Belgium. Biography Wauters, a right-hander from Sint-Niklaas, was ranked as high as nine in the world as a junior. As a professional he competed on the Challenger and Futures circuits. He won two Challenger titles, both in doubles. His best singles performance was a runner-up finish at the Saransk Challenger in 2004 and he had a win over Kristof Vliegen, ranked 32 at the time, at the Mons Challenger in 2006. He competed in the qualifying draws of all four Grand Slam tournaments, without ever being able to progress to the main draw. In 2006 he featured in a Davis Cup tie for Belgium, against Ukraine in Kyiv. With Belgium having secured the Group I tie, Wauters was given a run in the fifth rubber, in which he held two match points but lost to Sergei Bubka in a final set tiebreak. He won 10 titles on the ATP Tour (out of 24 finals contested), reaching a career-high singles ranking of world No. 4.
