Harriette Deborah Lacy (1807–1874) was an English actress. Born in London, she was the daughter of a tradesman named Taylor. Her first appearance on the stage was at Bath in 1827 as Julia in ''The Rivals'', and she was immediately given leading parts there, in both comedy and tragedy. Taylor's first London appearance was in 1830 as Nina, in William Dimond's ''Carnival of Naples''. Gilbert Lacy
Gilbert de Lacy Lacy (26 February 1834 – 7 June 1878) was an English first-class cricketer. A member of the de Lacy family, Lacy was born to Charles de Lacy Lacy at Tring in February 1826. He was educated at Westminster School, before going up to Magdalen College, Oxford. He made his debut in first-class cricket for the Marylebone Cricket Club against Oxford University at Oxford in 1854, following this up with a second first-class appearance for the Gentlemen of England against the Gentlemen of Kent in the same year at Canterbury. At some point after this he left England for Cape Colony, where he died at Mount Frere in June 1878. Edgar Eddie Lacy (August 2, 1944 – March 22, 2011) was an American basketball player who won two NCAA championships at UCLA, then played one season in the American Basketball Association with the Los Angeles Stars. In public printed media, his last name was generally rendered as Lacey. However, at the time he signed his professional contract, he indicated the correct spelling had always been Lacy. Lacy was a highly decorated player at Jefferson High School in Los Angeles. He was twice named a high school All-American by Parade Magazine and was Los Angeles city player of the year as a senior in 1963. Lacy chose to attend hometown UCLA and play for future Hall of Fame coach John Wooden. In his sophomore season, he was a starter on the Bruins' 1964–65 championship team. Edward Darwin Lacy Jr. (born June 2, 1990) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Alabama, where he was a member of three BCS National Championship teams in the 2009, 2011, and 2012 seasons. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks. High school career Lacy attended and graduated from Dutchtown High School in Geismar, Louisiana, where he played high school football for the Griffins. He ran for 1,207 yards and 13 touchdowns as a sophomore, 34 touchdowns as a junior, and one touchdown during his injury-plagued senior season. Ed Lacy (August 25, 1911 - January 7, 1968), born Leonard S. Zinberg, was an American writer of crime fiction, crime and detective fiction. Lacy, who was American Jews, Jewish American, is credited with creating "the first credible African American Private investigator, PI" character in fiction, Toussaint "Touie" Marcus Moore. ''Room to Swing'', his 1957 novel that introduced Touie Moore, received the 1958 Edgar Award for Best Novel. Biography Lacy was born in New York City. David William Lacy DL (born 26 April 1952) is a minister of the Church of Scotland. He was the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in 2005-6. Background and Career Lacy was born in Inverness on 26 April 1952, attended Aberdeen Grammar School from 1963 to 1965 and completed his schooling at the Glasgow High School. Lacy was ordained in 1976 whilst serving as Probationer at St George's West Church in Edinburgh. In 1977 he was inducted to Knightswood St. Margaret's Parish Church, Glasgow, his first charge.
