La Voix
''La Voix'' is a francophone Canadian reality talent show as part of the international television series franchise '' The Voice'', based on the original Dutch version of the program created by John de Mol. The series is part of ''The Voice'' franchise and is based on a similar competition format in The Netherlands entitled '' The Voice of Holland''. The series is structured into three phases: blind auditions, battles, and live performance shows. In 2016, ''La Voix'' also launched a separate series for younger contestants called ''La Voix Junior''. Format Producers' Auditions and The Blind Auditions The first stage of ''La Voix'' is the producer's auditions, which are not shown on television. Johannes Hendrikus Hubert "John" de Mol Jr. (born 24 April 1955) is a Dutch media tycoon television producer and billionaire. De Mol is one of the men behind production companies Endemol and Talpa. He is known for being the creator of several major reality television formats including '' Big Brother'', ''Fear Factor'' and'' The Voice''. Season 2 of ''La Voix'' was broadcast from 19 January 2014 to 13 April 2014 on TVA and was hosted for a second consecutive season by Charles Lafortune. Only Marc Dupré of season 1 judges returned, whereas first season winning judge Ariane Moffatt, and other judges Jean-Pierre Ferland and Marie-Mai were replaced by Louis-Jean Cormier, Éric Lapointe and Isabelle Boulay. During season 2, mentors also assisted various teams. ''La Voix'' is the French Canadian version of ''The Voice''. The first season of ''La Voix'' premiered on the TVA on 20 January 2013 and ended on 14 April 2013. It featured Marc Dupré, Jean-Pierre Ferland, Marie-Mai and Ariane Moffatt as the coaches. During the seasons mentors also took part. They were Daniel Bélanger, Claude Dubois, Annie Villeneuve and Fred St-Gelais. The series was produced by Stéphane Laporte and hosted by Charles Lafortune.
