La Roue (Brussels)
(French language, French, ) or (Dutch language, Dutch, ), meaning "The Wheel", is a district of Anderlecht, a List of municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, municipality of Brussels, Belgium. Located in the south of Anderlecht, it is one of this municipality's largest districts of and one of Brussels' main Garden city movement, garden cities. Mostly built in the 1920s, with its modest and picturesque houses, it offers a vision of an early 20th-century working-class neighbourhood. At its southern edge, it is also home to the Food and Chemical Industries Education and Research Center (/), as well as large department stores. There are several neighbourhoods in Brussels, Belgium. Their names and borders are not officially defined, and they might vary occasionally. The districts listed by the Brussels-Capital Region have a statistical purpose, and therefore do not always correspond to the historic municipal districts. Forge
A forge is a type of hearth used for heating metals, or the workplace (smithy) where such a hearth is located. The forge is used by the smith to heat a piece of metal to a temperature at which it becomes easier to shape by forging, or to the point at which work hardening no longer occurs. The metal (known as the "workpiece") is transported to and from the forge using tongs, which are also used to hold the workpiece on the smithy's anvil while the smith works it with a hammer. Brussels Metro Line 5
Line 5 is a rapid transit line on the Brussels Metro in Belgium operated by STIB/MIVB. It connects Herrmann-Debroux in the south-east of Brussels to Erasme/Erasmus in the south-west via the city centre. It has existed in its current form since 4 April 2009, when the section of former line 1A between Beekkant and Roi Baudouin/Koning Boudewijn was replaced by the section of former line 1B between Beekkant and Erasme. Starting from Herrmann-Debroux, the line crosses the municipalities of Auderghem, Etterbeek, City of Brussels, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Koekelberg and Anderlecht. It serves 28 metro stations and has a common section with line 1 between Gare de l'Ouest/Weststation and Merode, and with lines 2 and 6 between Gare de l'Ouest and Beekkant. Bizet Metro Station
Bizet () is a Brussels Metro station on the western branch of line 5. It is located in the municipality of Anderlecht, in the western part of Brussels, Belgium. The station received its name from the aboveground square /, itself named after the French classical music composer Georges Bizet. The metro station opened on 10 January 1992, and until 2003, it was the western terminus of former line 1B. On 15 September 2003, a further extension from Bizet westwards to Erasme/Erasmus was opened. The Brussels Metro ( ; ) is a rapid transit system serving a large part of the Brussels-Capital Region of Belgium. It consists of four conventional metro lines and three '' premetro'' lines. The metro-grade lines are M1, M2, M5, and M6 with some shared sections, covering a total of , with 59 metro-only stations. The ''premetro'' network consists of three tram lines ( T4, T7, and T10) that partly travel over underground sections that were intended to be eventually converted into metro lines. Pajottenland
The Pajottenland (; in English occasionally Payottenland) is a distinct region within the Flemish Brabant province and the south-western part of the Brussels Region of Belgium. The region is located west-southwest of Brussels. The Pajottenland is predominantly farmland, with occasional gently rolling hills, and lies mostly between the rivers Dender and Zenne / Senne. Sint-Pieters-Leeuw (; , ) is a municipality in the province of Flemish Brabant, in the Flemish region of Belgium.
