La Pobla De Segur
La Pobla de Segur () is a municipality located in the Comarques of Catalonia, comarca of Pallars Jussà, province of Lleida, Catalonia, in northern Spain. It has a population of . It is situated at the confluence of the Flamicell and Noguera Pallaresa rivers in the north of the ''comarca'', above the Sant Antoni reservoir. It is an important local service centre, which has allowed it to escape the Rural depopulation, depopulation which has affected many municipalities in northwestern Catalonia. The village is served by the Autovia C-13, C-13 road between Tremp and Sort, Lleida, Sort, the N-260 road to Pont de Suert and by a railway station on a Lleida–La Pobla de Segur Line, railway line to Lleida. Tremp () is a municipality in Catalonia, Spain, the capital of the ''comarca'' of the Pallars Jussà. It is the largest municipality in Catalonia in terms of area (), accounting for nearly a quarter of the total area of the ''comarca''. The municipality is a geographical oddity and consists of five separate territorial entities within the ''comarca'' (district) of Pallars Jussa (see image). The town of Tremp (population 5.961 as of 2023) is the second smallest of these and is situated in the valley of the Noguera Pallaresa river below Talarn and the Talarn Dam. Autovia C-13
The C-13, also known as Eix del Pallars ( Pallars Axis), is a highway through the Pyrenees in Catalonia, Spain. Route The road connects the regional capital Lleida with Balaguer and the eastern Noguera Pallaresa river valley north of Tremp. It shares its route with part of the N-260, an east–west route across the Pyrenees, and follows the route of the Lleida–La Pobla Line to La Pobla de Segur. History The bypass of Vilanova de la Barca opened in April 2014, allowing traffic from Lleida and Balaguer to avoid the town. This included a 430-metre viaduct over the River Corb, containing 11 separate sections of 30–45 metres each. Rural flight (also known as rural-to-urban migration, rural depopulation, or rural exodus) is the migratory pattern of people from rural areas into urban areas. It is urbanization seen from the rural perspective. Noguera Pallaresa
The Noguera Pallaresa (; , ) is a river in Catalonia, Spain. It is named after the Pallars region. Course Its source is at ''Era Font d'era Noguereta'' in the municipality of Naut Aran (Aran Valley) at an elevation of about and barely from those of the Garonne. While the Garonne flows toward the Atlantic Ocean, the Noguera Pallaresa flows to the Segre, and enters that river from the right just before the reservoir of Camarasa ( Noguera): its waters then flow to the Mediterranean. Flamicell
The Flamicell, or Flamisell is a river in the province of Pallars, Catalonia, Spain. It is 34 km long and is a tributary of the Noguera Pallaresa. This river is known for the variation in flow depending on the time of the year and the meteorological conditions. The flow is also very strong because it brings water from many different lakes, one of them being the Lake Gento (see Cabdella Lakes). In 1937, the flow was so strong that it destroyed the hydroelectric station in Cabdella and brought to La Pobla de Segur a flow of 700 m³/s. Its name is derived from the Latin word ''flamicellu'' which means small river. Course The source of the river is in Cabdella and it flows south passing the town of La Pobleta de Bellvei and the village of La Plana de Mont-ros.
