La Mirada Mall was a regional shopping mall at the southeast corner of La Mirada Boulevard (originally named Luitwieler Avenue) and Rosecrans Avenue in La Mirada, California, United States, in southeast Los Angeles County, in a region known as the Gateway Cities. It is now the site of the La Mirada Theater Center, a strip mall. Robert's was a department store based in Long Beach, California. The chain began when Morris Burman opened the first store in East Los Angeles. In 1950, Burman bought an existing store in North Long Beach at 5350 Long Beach Boulevard, and opened it as the Jones Department Store. Osco Drug and Sav-on Drugs were the names of a pair of chain store, chain pharmacy, pharmacies that operated in the United States. Osco Drug was founded by the Skaggs family. Alpha Beta grocery store was purchased by American Stores in 1961. Skaggs Drug Centers bought American Stores in 1979 and assumed the American Stores name. Sav-on Drugs was a California-based pharmacy chain that was acquired by Osco's parent company in 1980. Both Osco and Sav-on stores eventually came under the ownership of American Stores, then Albertsons, and finally SuperValu (United States), SuperValu before the stores were sold off. The Osco and Sav-on brands survive today as brandings for in-store pharmacies in the Albertsons chain of stores. Market Basket was the name used by two separate chains of supermarkets within Southern California. The first chain originated in Pasadena and operated from 1930 until 1982. The second chain operated from 1989 until 1994. Kroger-associated chain (1930–1982) The first store opened in Pasadena on Colorado Boulevard at Meredith in 1930. The chain had 14 stores in the Pasadena area by 1934. The chain had 42 locations in 1959 including as far as Santa Ana and San Bernardino. Lucky Stores are a pair of American supermarket chains plus a defunct historical chain. The original chain was founded in San Leandro, California, and operated from 1935 until 1999. The Lucky brand was revived ''circa'' 2007 and is now operated as two distinct chains: Albertsons operates Lucky in Utah and Save Mart Supermarkets operates Lucky California in Northern California.
