''La Ley'' is a cassette EP released in 1988 with six songs and four remixes. The executive management was in charge of Carlos Fonseca and EMI label. This album was unofficial because it was for the band became known before releasing their first album and make sure that the group would be successful in a few years. La Ley (band)
La Ley (; ) were a Chilean rock band formed by Andrés Bobe, Rodrigo Aboitiz, Luciano Rojas and Mauricio Claveria with Beto Cuevas. History After an unsuccessful first album, '' Desiertos'' (1990), they released '' Doble Opuesto'' (1991), which appears as the official first album of the band. Singles like "Desiertos," "Tejedores de Ilusión," and "Prisioneros de la Piel" made them stars in Chile, Argentina and Mexico, especially after the release of '' La Ley'', their second recording (1993). After Bobe's death in 1994, La Ley continued with a new guitarist, Pedro Frugone, and released two more albums; in 1995, the band released ''Invisible'', the album was their international breakout record and provided to the band their best-selling studio album to date, it included the number ones "Dia Cero" and "El Duelo". Desiertos
''Desiertos'' (Spanish: "deserts") is the debut album by Chilean pop/rock band, La Ley. The album was the only one featuring all the original members: Beto Cuevas, Mauricio Clavería, Andrés Bobe, Luciano Rojas, and Rodrigo Aboitiz. Due to inner problems with the producer, only 500 copies of the album were released. Following the band's success, the album has become a highly sought-after item by fans. Only one single was released from the album, the song "Desiertos" (although the song "Espina Feroz" was considered for release as the first single). Backstory In early 1988, La Ley's main singer, Shia Arbulú, left the band after some unnoticed demos, returning to her native country of Spain. Los Prisioneros ("The Prisoners") were a Chilean rock/pop band formed in San Miguel, Santiago, in 1983. They are considered one of the most important Chilean bands, and arguably the strongest musical influences that Chile has made to Latin American music. In addition, they are considered pioneers of ''Rock en español'' (Rock in Spanish) by Latin American media and musicians, and the band with strongest socio-political impact in Chile. Their roots date back to March 1979, when their core members entered high school.
