La Guardia (band)
La Guardia is a Spanish pop-rock band. They were most famous in the late 1980s and early 1990s during the Movida Madrileña, though they are still active today following a hiatus. They have sold more than 2 million records. History The group was founded in Granada in 1983 by Manuel España (voice), Enrique "Conejo" Moreno (bass guitar) and Carlos Gilabert (keyboard), initially called "La guardia del Cardenal Richelieu" ("Cardinal Richelieu's Guard"). Having formed the band as teenagers, they adopted this name because they used to rehearse in the afternoons after they watched ''Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds'' on TV. Under this name they released a first single with techno and mod sounds. After this, Gilabert left the band, and Joaquín Almendros (guitar) and Emilio Muñoz (drums) joined it, forming the band's most famous line-up. Joshua Keith Ostrander (born April 8, 1979), also known as Mondo Cozmo, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is now based in Los Angeles, California. His solo music has been described as "chorus-heavy folk-rock." Chambao
Chambao is a flamenco- electronic band originally from Málaga, Andalusia, Spain, active in its first period from 2002 to 2018 and with a return announced for 2023. Their music fuses flamenco sounds and musical forms with electronic music. The name of the band is taken from an improvised form of beach tent that is constructed as a means of sheltering from the wind and sun. The three original members of Chambao were María del Mar Rodriguez Carnero (La Mari), Eduardo Casañ (El Edi) and Daniel Casañ (Dani). Their brand of flamenco, described as flamenco chill, combined the vocal style of traditional Andalusian flamenco with elements of chillout electronica.
