List Of Counties In New Mexico
There are 33 counties in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The New Mexico Territory was organized in September 1850. The first nine counties in the territory to be created, in 1852, were Bernalillo, Doña Ana, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Ana, Santa Fe, Socorro, Taos, and Valencia Counties. Sandoval County () is a county located in the U.S. state of New Mexico. As of the 2020 census, the population was 148,834, making it the fourth-most populous county in New Mexico. New Mexico State Road 126
New Mexico State Road 126 (NM 126) is a state highway in New Mexico, United States. NM 126's western terminus is in the small town of Cuba, New Mexico, Cuba, at U.S. Route 550 (US 550). The route passes through the Nacimiento Mountains and Jemez Mountains, along the southern boundary of the San Pedro Parks Wilderness, then descends past Jemez Mountains, Fenton Lake to the small, unincorporated community of La Cueva (east of Jemez Springs, New Mexico, Jemez Springs), where it ends at New Mexico State Road 4, NM 4. The highway is a part of the Jemez Mountain Trail National Scenic Byway. It is Pavement (material), paved near Cuba and La Cueva, but is a graded dirt road for much of its middle section.
