''La Copa Junior'' (2012) (Spanish for "The Junior Cup") was a professional wrestling tournament produced and scripted by the Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLLl; Spanish "World Wrestling Council"). The tournament ran from November 30, 2012 to December 14, 2012, in Arena México in Mexico City, Mexico. CMLL's recurring ''La Copa Junior'' tournament featured second, third or fourth generation wrestlers completing against each other. The 2012 version of the ''La Copa Junior'' was the fifth tournament held by CMLL. For the 2012 ''La Copa Junior'' tournament, CMLL chose to hold two qualifying 10-man ''torneo cibernetico'' elimination matches to determine the finalists. Co., Ltd. (CMLL; , "World Wrestling Council") is a ''lucha libre'' professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City. ''Lucha libre'' (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term for the style of professional wrestling originating in Mexico. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful wrestling mask, masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and professional wrestling aerial techniques, "high-flying" aerial techniques, some of which have been adopted by wrestlers in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. Esfinge
Esfinge (born June 14, 1993, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) is the ring name of a Mexican ''Luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler, working for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he is the current Mexican National Light Heavyweight Champion, in his first reign. Esfinge's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. Héctor Garza
Héctor Solano Segura (June 12, 1969 – May 26, 2013) was a Mexican professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Héctor Garza. During his career he worked for various major Mexican professional wrestling promotions such as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), Perros del Mal (promotion), Perros del Mal Producciones and, at the time of death, Lucha Libre AAA World Wide, AAA.
