Lux Style Awards
The Lux Style Awards is an award ceremony which has been held annually in Pakistan since 2002. The ceremony celebrates "style" in the Pakistani entertainment industry, such as Cinema of Pakistan, cinema, television in Pakistan, television, Pakistani clothing, fashion, and music of Pakistan, music. Categories have changed over the years, but most are awarded by panels of judges who are experts in the respective industries, with some "people's choice" awards in the film and TV categories. The ceremonies, which are televised, have usually been held in Karachi, but in some years have taken place in Lahore, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai. History The Lux Style Awards were created in 2002 by Musharaf Hai, the Chairperson of Unilever Pakistan at the time. It is the biggest annual awards ceremony held in Pakistan as of 2018. Lux (soap)
Lux is a global brand developed by Unilever. Lux is marketed primarily in South Asia, South Asian countries such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The 8th Lux Style Awards ceremony was held in Expo Center in Karachi, Pakistan. The show was hosted by Ahsan Khan, Sana Nawaz and from the members of BNN. The 8th Lux Style Awards ceremony was to be held at Karachi Expo Center but due to unstable political conditions, the ceremony was postponed instead winners were announced and photographed at the Red Carpet. The 2008 Lux Style Awards, officially known as the 7th Lux Style Awards ceremony, presented by the Lux Style Awards honours the best films of 2008 and took place at the DHA Golf Club, Karachi on 29 October 2008.
