''LP'' is the second album from lo-fi Musical improvisation, improvisational electronica band Holy Fuck (electronica band), Holy Fuck. The album was nominated for Juno Awards of 2008#Alternative Album of the Year, Alternative Album of the Year at the 2008 Juno Awards and was nominated for the 2008 Polaris Music Prize. Owen Pallett contributed to the album, playing the violin part on 'Lovely Allen'. A remix version of "Royal Gregory" is featured on the soundtrack to ''Midnight Club: Los Angeles''. Several of the tracks on ''LP'' first appeared on ''Holy Fuck EP'', self-released in 2007. Only one track from ''EP'', "They're Going to Take My Thumbs", did not make it to ''LP''. It went on to be used in ''Breaking Bad''. Holy Fuck (electronica Band)
Holy Fuck is a Canadian electronica band from Toronto. They were a part of Dependent Music, a music label and artist collective that began in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 2004 until its closing. They were then a part of the Young Turks (record label), Young Turks label and in 2016 they signed with Innovative Leisure. The band uses live instrumentation and miscellaneous instruments and non-instruments (including a 35 mm film synchronizer, toy keyboards and toy phaser guns) to achieve electronic-sounding effects without the use of laptops or programmed backing tracks. According to Pitchfork Media, "The band was formed with the intent of creating the equivalent of modern electronic music without actually using the techniques—Music loop, looping, Reel-to-reel audio tape recording, splicing, Programming (music), programming and the like—of that music." ''Uncut'' is a monthly magazine based in London. It is available across the English-speaking world, and focuses on music, but also includes film and books sections. A DVD magazine under the ''Uncut'' brand was published quarterly from 2005 to 2006. The magazine was acquired in 2019 by Singaporean music company BandLab Technologies, and was published by NME Networks from December 2021 to August 2023, when the brand was sold to Kelsey Media.
