LOVB Atlanta
LOVB Atlanta is an American professional women's indoor volleyball team based in Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia. It is a member of LOVB Pro, which began play in January 2025. History In 2021, LOVB announced plans to start a professional women's volleyball league in the United States. Atlanta was revealed as one of LOVB's first two team locations alongside LOVB Houston, Houston in March 2023. The city also hosted the Atlanta Vibe of the rival Pro Volleyball Federation. Gateway Center Arena
Gateway Center Arena at College Park is a multi-purpose arena in College Park, Georgia. It is the home venue of the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League and the Atlanta Dream of the Women's National Basketball Association. The arena's first public event was an open house on November 9, 2019, while the Skyhawks' first game at the arena took place on November 21. Location and design The 3,500-seat indoor arena, arena is mainly used for basketball; however, there are plans for the facility to also host concerts and other events. UC Irvine Anteaters Women's Volleyball
The UC Irvine Anteaters are the athletic teams fielded by the University of California, Irvine (UC Irvine). Its athletics programs participate in the NCAA's Division I, as members of the Big West Conference and the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. For earlier years of the school's existence, the teams participated at the Division II level with great success as explained below. Volleyball Clubs Established In 2023
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. LOVB Pro (pronounced "love" and commonly referred to as League One Volleyball) is a women's professional indoor volleyball league in the United States. The league is owned by League One Volleyball (LOVB), a volleyball body founded in 2020. Its first season began in January 2025. Baylor Bears Women's Volleyball
The Baylor Bears women's volleyball team represents Baylor University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. Purdue's women's volleyball team is a varsity sports team at Purdue University. The team debuted in 1975. Carol Dewey became the first head coach. The Tennessee Lady Volunteers volleyball team represents the University of Tennessee located in Knoxville, Tennessee.
