The L 14th Street–Canarsie Local is a rapid transit service in the B Division (New York City Subway), B Division of the New York City Subway. Its route emblem, or "bullet", is colored since it serves the BMT Canarsie Line. The L operates 24 hours daily between Eighth Avenue (BMT Canarsie Line), Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, Manhattan, Chelsea, Manhattan, and Canarsie–Rockaway Parkway (BMT Canarsie Line), Rockaway Parkway in Canarsie, Brooklyn, Canarsie, Brooklyn, making all stops along the full route. Communications-based train control (CBTC) is a railway signaling system that uses telecommunications between the train and track equipment for traffic management and infrastructure control. CBTC allows a train's position to be known more accurately than with traditional signaling systems. This can make railway traffic management safer and more efficient. BMT 14
The J Nassau Street Local and Z Nassau Street Express are two rapid transit services in the B Division of the New York City Subway. Their route emblems, or "bullets", are colored since they use the BMT Nassau Street Line in Lower Manhattan. The J operates 24 hours daily, while the Z, operating as the rush hour variant to the J, operates during weekday rush hours in the peak direction only; both services operate between Jamaica Center–Parsons Boulevard/Archer Avenue in Jamaica, Queens, and Broad Street in Lower Manhattan. When the Z operates, the two services form a skip-stop pair between Sutphin Boulevard–JFK and Myrtle Avenue/Broadway and also makes express stops between Myrtle and Marcy Avenues in Brooklyn. Atlantic Avenue (BMT Canarsie Line)
The Atlantic Avenue station is a rapid transit station on the BMT Canarsie Line of the New York City Subway. Located at the intersection of Atlantic and Snediker Avenues at East New York, Brooklyn, it is served by the L train at all times. History Atlantic Avenue opened July 4, 1889, for the BMT Fulton Street Line portion and on July 28, 1906, for the BMT Canarsie Line portion. The Fulton Street Line platforms closed April 26, 1956. It was rebuilt in 1916, and was also reconfigured in 2002–2004. This station is one of the most well-preserved examples of the Dual Contracts architecture, as much of the period woodwork and ironwork is intact. Lorimer Street (BMT Canarsie Line)
The Metropolitan Avenue/Lorimer Street station is an underground New York City Subway station complex shared by the BMT Canarsie Line and the IND Crosstown Line. Located in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, the complex is served by the G and L trains at all times. The BMT Canarsie Line platforms, which are named Lorimer Street, are located above the IND Crosstown Line platforms, which are named Metropolitan Avenue. IND Eighth Avenue Line
The IND Eighth Avenue Line is a rapid transit line in the B Division of the New York City Subway. Opened in 1932, it was the first line of the Independent Subway System (IND); as such, New Yorkers originally applied the ''Eighth Avenue Subway'' name to the entire IND system. The line runs from 207th Street in Inwood south to an interlocking south of High Street in Brooklyn Heights, including large sections under St. Nicholas Avenue, Central Park West, and Eighth Avenue. The entire length is underground, though the 207th Street Yard, which branches off near the north end, is on the surface. The 14th Street/Sixth Avenue station is an underground New York City Subway station complex in the Greenwich Village and Chelsea neighborhoods of Manhattan, on the IRT Broadway–Seventh Avenue Line, the BMT Canarsie Line and the IND Sixth Avenue Line. It is located on 14th Street between Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) and Seventh Avenue. Broadway Junction (BMT Canarsie Line)
The Broadway Junction station is a New York City Subway station complex shared by the elevated BMT Canarsie Line and BMT Jamaica Line, and the underground IND Fulton Street Line. It was also served by trains of the Fulton Street Elevated until that line closed in 1956. It is located roughly at the intersection of Broadway, Fulton Street and Van Sinderen Avenue at the border of the Bedford–Stuyvesant, East New York and Bushwick neighborhoods of Brooklyn.
